why should you be a vegetarian? because eating meat will give you cancer. Actually it's predominantly old ladies that should be worried, according to some study.
"The findings are most striking for postmenopausal women. Those with the highest intake of red meat, the equivalent to one portion a day (more than 57 grams) run a 56 per cent greater risk of breast cancer than those who eat none."
i think i'll start giving vegetarian cooking classes. any takers?

In defense of red meat...
I wonder how cooked the meat is. Some studies have shown a link to cancer if the meat is cooked too well; evidence has shown that meat that is less cooked can be healthier.
Also red meat is often done on the BBQ... also increases cancer risk. Of those women who eat more red meat, I wonder if many of those women eat BBQed red meat... thereby increasing their cancer risk.
